| More About Our Area... The small community of Hanalei is less than a 10 minute scenic drive to the
east while the world famous Na Pali Coast begins a short 10 minute drive to
the west (where the road ends and the trail begins).
 | Hanalei | Hanalei is a small, picturesque community located on the beautiful
beach lined Hanalei Bay. There are well over a dozen waterfalls lacing
it's 4,000 foot peaks when the rain falls. Rainbows are very common.
Truly an idyllic setting. It provides a full range of shopping and
excellent restaurants. This village is very "laid back" with an eclectic
style unlike most of Hawaii. There is no "normal" in Hanalei. Here you
will find all of the goods and services needed for your vacation. Hanalei
has a grocery store, health food store, numerous clothing retailers, the
best surf/wind surf shop on Kauai, fine art and craft galleries, kayak
rentals, 15 restaurants providing everything from fine seafood, Thai
cuisine, health food, juice bars, fast food, shave ice, pizza, sushi, plate
lunches and excellent Italian dinning. Healing arts practitioners and
massage therapists are abundant. Yoga classes are available nearly daily.
There are several bars and live musical entertainment can be found every
night.
 | Princeville |
Princeville is a 15 minute drive (5 minutes past Hanalei).
Here you will find banks, fine restaurants, a gas station, grocery store,
clothing stores, health spa and other resort oriented businesses.
Princeville has several beautiful and challenging world class golf courses
which can satisfy and challenge the very best of golfers.
 | Na Pali Coast |
If you enjoy hiking, we have a trail for you. The Na Pali
Coast (Kalalau) trail is 3 miles form our doorstep and provides one of the
most spectacular hikes in the world. One can hike 11 miles along the cliffs
of Na Pali to Kalalau valley (the "Valley of the Healing Light") if you
want the ultimate that Na Pali has to offer. This day long hike (each way)
provides tremendous ocean and valley views. Permits are required and should
be obtained in advance of your vacation (Contact us for more info). You can
choose a great day hike to Hanakapiai Valley. This is a 2 mile hike along
the coast to the valley mouth and then another 2 miles up valley to one of
the most impressive waterfalls in Hawaii. Here you can swim and enjoy
nature at it's peak. There are many excellent hiking trails on Kauai which
provide you with great options. (ask Dot)

"We can't thank you enough for making our stay so incredibly romantic and fun! You've truly created a perfect Eden...our only regret is for not booking for longer. We took all your suggestions to heart; Ke'e beach at sunset with a bottle of Champagne; the boat ride up Na Pali Coast...we will never forget those dolphins and snorkeling. Now if only the rest of our honeymoon will be as wonderful as these last few days..." |
